I guess the Borderlands movie wasn't enough, they had to ruin Minecraft aswell, this shit looks like those "Minecraft in real life" vids back in 2014 but worser somehow, goodbye my childhood I guess, atleast Minecraft Story Mode didn't looked like an uncanny valley nightmare

Maybe it was a fluke that the Super Mario Bros Movie and the 2 Sonic Movies were actually decent adaptations that understood the source material, and video game adaptations are still for the most part guaranteed to be awful even by Hollywood standards.

Gotta love Hollywood's insistence on giving everything grotesquely-detailed textures, just so it looks "expensive"--this trailer looks like they came up with some horrid, mushy in-between of staying true to the game's voxel art style while also giving everything gross-looking CGi fur, skin and mucus, without fully committing to either extreme. Will they try to fix it within six months like that original "Ugly Sonic" movie trailer? This looks guaranteed to give its target audience of children nightmares as it currently stands.
