Yes I did see that I was 2nd place in Movies and Games.
Yes I know I don't deserve it since it was literally a looped gif I made. Like I'm 100% sure there are better movies than THAT!
No I didn't put music or anything in it bc Ibispaint won't let me or let me make it into a gif.
But please don't start hating my stuff I just wanted to show it off.
I know it's simple. My art is simple.
I don't know how to lose the trophy bc I personally think I don't deserve it
Don't let anyone tell you what you do or don't deserve. People voted with their hearts. I come here to see fun, interesting, and--yes--sometimes heartwarming and uplifting use of the medium (the web/NG not just animation). Your piece was all those things. Yes technical skill and effort are a thing. So is how a piece makes you feel. Yours made me happy. Since I'm an **shole, it's even more impressive. Don't take any guff from these swine and keep it up. If you want to opt out of awards, so be it, but I was glad the P-bots lead me to watch your loop.
Haters gonna hate. I get it every time from the same people who seem to be the same people going after you. Every. Single. Time. Just ignore them, keep creating. I loved the animation. I can teach you how to put music in if you want. :D

I was more trying to allude to the "0 or 5"-mentality that some people have by linking the animation. Not every single submission has to be "the best/worst submission".
For example, I greatly enjoy 'Paradise Takes a Bite' ( https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/874280 ) and I come back to watch it regularly. But I rated it with 4 stars. It can be a personal favorite of mine without having to have the highest rating I can dish out.
If people voted for your animation because under their opinion it's 'good enough' to earn an award, then I don't know where is the 'big-deal' here. I mean, yes, you could not 'share' their opinion, but I think that their decision is what truly matters, being completely independent about what **you** think about it... this is like, I don't know, if for example you decide to go and participate into 'the olympics', and you win a 'gold-medal', but you try to decline it because "you don't feel like you deserve it in comparison to the rest"... No. The jury (in this case, we would be talking about the Newgrounds community) decided that you deserve it for the effort you put in what you made (or perhaps maybe they just simply liked it more over the rest of the submissions), and you have to accept it, independenting of your opinion towards their decision...
...So... Yeah. Quit being so 'negative' and 'harsh' with yourself, and enjoy the award, since you have earned it o7 (and for next time, in case that you don't want this 'success' to happen again, you will always have the option to 'disable' the option to earn any awards on your submissions, as @Yatsufusa clarified.)

Jeez people in the movie and games portals can be so harsh sometimes... Anyways there's always a checkbox to put your submition away from getting awards if you want to take It off xp
I personally think that if something so "simple" got in the P-bot's top is because theres wasnt enough contend to see that day anyways soooo dont worry xp

I'm so happy to hear that you watch "Paradise Takes a Bite" regularly! That really brings a smile to my face. ^_^ And 4 stars is OK, because really, stars are there to make you think you're making a difference, but it's an illusion. I'm a bit of a retard like Alex Jones says and I'll admit this was written by my husband, but after I read this thread I came to understand that there's only "0" and "5":

The illusion of choice is so convincing with the stars. That said, I like it because harkens back to a day when there was GamePro, and it allows us all to feel like we're featured columnists. :D

@KittyhawkMontrose I have to admit that I've not tried tofu nuggies. Stuff that "looks like the meat-product" just isn't for me.
As for the 0-or-5-ratings: I 'do get' the math behind it. But it's not my style. I use those ratings in a big part for myself, which also helps me to determine what to feature for my weekly Art Portal Favorites. (Just a personal thing I do. Sorry if that sounded confusing to anybody.)
I'm not claiming I'm naive or a saint, though. At times, I will go out of my way and hand out a "5" so a friend gets a better chance at some "highscore stuff", but those submissions get bookmarked and rated lower once @P-Bot has done its daily trophies thing.
I also hand out 2 stars in the Under Judgement section as long as an animation shows that the creator cares - even if it doesn't cater to my personal tastes.
TL;DR: Write more (meaningful) reviews y'all! As games media has taught us _time_and_again_, seven-point-something ratings are completely meaningless. If you want to figure out if a game (or longer animation/movie) would be "good" in your eyes, you've got to read to those carefully chosen words somebody arranged on a page for you to read (and maybe even recorded as a video). Likewise, the reviews that exceed "lol" or "She hot!" might give you an idea if something is worth watching more than those beep-boop-numbers.
By the way: My apologies to @EmilyRose420 if this got long winded and totally off-topic. Feel free to delete my contributions if I'm stating to annoy you. I'm not precious about these things and this 'is' 'your' News Post.

Though I would not want to 'sugarcoat' the 'fact' too much, it is the truth, and I agree with what @EmilyRose420 said: it is very interesting to talk/interact with you (and I'm saying this as someone who has talked/interacted with you a 'few' times until now, since I 'returned' to Newgrounds.)
